Dive Against Debris

Sunday the 21st of August see's a small handful of dive and Eco-enthusiasts / warriors take to to the waters with Splash Hong Kong (www.splashhk.com) to join the the world wide Project AWARE (www.projectaware.com) program Dive Against debris. The Fun diving is being organized through Splash Hong Kong and will comprise two fun dives with a good luncheon on board the boat.

HK diving incidents

On behalf of the diving community I would like to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Miss. Tong, who tragically died in a diving related accident over the weekend. This is now the 4th fatality in nearly 10 years.

HK diving

Hong Kong is surrounded by sea. The approximate sea surface area is 1650 sq km, and dotted with some 200 islands. The rocky reefs and coral comunities of Hong Kong shelter a diverse and exquisite range of fish and marine fauna. Over 300 species of reef fish and 84 species of corals (hard & soft) have so far been recorded.

Tung Ping Chau (東平洲)

east tung ping chauTung Ping Chau is set in the east of Mirs Bay. Though only 2km long, and relatively flat (rising to just 48 metres), Tung Ping Chau makes for a cracking - and relaxing - day out, or even overnight stay.
