Hoi Ha Wan (海下灣) - the Bay Beneath the Sea - in the north of the Sai Kung Peninsula, is one of Hong Kong's best places for hard corals, with around 60 species.

Small bay which is best known for its hard corals – 58 of Hong Kong’s 88 hard coral species are found here, and protected in a marine park.

Perhaps visit only if you are confident of truly experiencing the marine life; certainly not on a badly run, bogus “eco-tour”. Minibus 7 from Sai Kung.
