Inner Deep Bay including Tsim Bei Tsui
Info from Hong Kong's Great Outdoors
Really a shallow estuary, this is an internationally important wetland – a Ramsar site – shared by Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Around 60,000 waterbirds spend winter here; thousands more pass through on spring and autumn migration. They include globally endangered species, such as Dalmatian pelican, and Hong Kong’s star bird, black-faced spoonbill. Tsim Bei Tsui affords some views of the bay and its birdlife.
