Luk Keng

Traditional farming village, in attractive setting at base of hills, facing one of Hong Kong’s best remaining freshwater wetlands. Egrets and herons are among the birds, and breed on a nearby islet. Two roadside cafes are useful for relaxing meals after hiking.
