Mui Wo - Silvermine Bay

Info from Hong Kong's Great Outdoors

A collection of villages and hamlets, with a beach, fields, and a small wetland that’s home to egrets. At the foot of hills in northwest of Mui Wo is the fine Silvermine Waterfall – where a steep track leads up past the old entrance to an abandoned Silver Mine.

Ferry from Outlying Islands pier, Central. This is surely the most pleasant way to travel by public transport to Lantau (alternatives include buses and MTR to Tung Chung).

Mui Wo articles elsewhere on the Internet

Mui Wo is a brief Wikipedia entry.

Silver Mine Falls, Mui Wo has info on and lovely photos of the three main falls here.

Silvermine Bay (the pretty part) is an album of photos, not always real pretty.
