Sunset Peak

Info from Hong Kong's Great Outdoors

A mountain of contrasts, Sunset Peak is rather heavy-set to the south, crossed by the Lantau Trail (you can turn off this to climb the grassy slopes to the summit). But to the north, it’s cut by a gorge with a series of waterfalls; a tough but rewarding place to explore.

One route up Sunset Peak starts at Nam Shan, just above Mui Wo – which you can reach on foot, or by bus if you want to save energy.

Sunset Peak by Carol [Lau] is an album of photos from an overnight stay in a hut high on the mountain, during superb clear weather.
