Tai Mo Shan
Info from Hong Kong’s Great Outdoors
At 957 metres, Hong Kong’s highest peak. Access road to communications facility at the summit is closed to regular traffic, but affords grand views for hikers. Well worth a try in summer, when it’s a little cooler thanks to the elevation. On west slopes, Kap Lung Forest Trail is a pleasant woodland walk, and one of Hong Kong’s legal mountain biking routes.
From Tsuen Wan, take bus 51 from road over MTR station (then walk up road from Route Twisk), or green taxi.
