Hello, 2 friends of mine will be coming to HK soon. They are travelling around the world and are more used to guest houses than HK hotels (at least in terms of price) especially with October high price season coming up. Would you have any advise of "Cheap - Affordable accomodation for about 1 week. I was thinking about the tiny flats in Cheung Chau that people offer when we get down of ferries... Any contact there ? Any other advise ? Thanks a lot in advance jb

I live on Cheung Chau, so can perhaps help w contacts for flats.
Some time ago, I did small website for a holiday flat owner here (dunno about prices now; think the email may no longer work but not sure):

Fung Wong Holiday Bungalows on Lantau a good place, but in Tong Fuk, so fairly remote; some info if you search this forum.
