Sorry to be late replying; late seeing your post.
I'm not a kitesurfer; but in August, winds are unreliable.
Often not a lot of wind, but at times there are tropical storms and even typhoons – with winds that just may be ok for the sport [with care: hard to predict these storms, which at times change course or intensify with little warming, and of course hurricane force winds too intense and dangerous].
As I write, almost August, and rainy spell, with some intense winds as thunderstorms move over.
