Scenic Spots on Cheung Chau for Exploring and Photo Taking

I live on Cheung Chau in southwest Hong Kong, which is easily reached by ferries from Central on Hong Kong Island, and is very popular with visitors. While many people are content to spend their time in the main village area, and at Tung Wan Beach on the east coast, there are plenty of photogenic places elsewhere – some of which are now noted for being “Instagram” type spots on rednote [Xiao Hong Shu = Little Red Book].

Below, some photos from Cheung Chau’s main village, the waterfront – Praya – by the typhoon shelter/harbour, Tung Wan and nearby Kwun Yam Wan.
