Tung Lung Chau
Info from Hong Kong’s Great Outdoors
Island rising to 232 metres, which seems to have been sliced away in the east, forming imposing sea cliffs that challenge climbers. A ruined fort on a northern headland once helped guard the approaches to Guangzhou; it’s close to the main trail, which winds from the ferry pier through an almost deserted hamlet, towards the cliffs via a simple café.
Basic ferries, on weekends and public holidays, from Sai Wan Ho on Hong Kong Island and Lei Yue Mun near southeast Kowloon.
